North Vancouver Homes - The Q Report August 2010.08

After reaching an all time high average benchmark price of $938,235 in April, August detached home prices dipped back to $879,328, still higher than August 2009 by 2%. Detached home sales in August were down 42%, while listings of homes for sale were down 20.2%.

North Vancouver townhouse sales declined by 18.2% from last August, while 2010 year-to-date sales are down 12.9%. The benchmark price of $589,708, while down from the high reached in May, was still up 4% from last August.

Condominiums in North Vancouver reached an average benchmark price of $382,260, up 1.3% from last August. Sales declined 41.8% from one year ago, while year-to-date condo sales were down 6.9% from the same period last year. Listings this month were 22.8% below those of last August.
