North Vancouver Homes - The Q Report October 2008.10

Overall residential real estate sales fell 46.5% this October over last. Townhouse sales have been hardest hit, followed by condominiums. North Vancouver homes available for sale are up 8.7%.

Detached homes: At an average benchmark price of $802,897, October detached home prices were down 6.3% from twelve months ago. Detached homes available for sale increased by 30.3% over last October, as homes have stayed longer on the market. The number of detached homes sold year-to-date declined 24.7% from this time last year.

Townhouses: North Vancouver townhouse benchmark prices averaged $573,069, down 1.4% from one year ago. October year-to-date saels were down 29.5% from last year.

Condominiums: Condo prices in North Vancouver are down 3.9% from October 2007, while year-to-date sales have fallen 31.2%.The October inventory of condos available for sale has decreased 7.3% from one year ago.
