Prices of detached homes rose by 18.1% over last December, reaching an all time high benchmark price of $871,191*. The number of detached homes sold in 2007 fell slightly over 2006, as did the number of homes available on the market. By year end, condominium prices were up by 15%. The number of condo sales rose 14.5% over last year, as first time buyers sought more affordable alternatives.
