Economically speaking, the recovery is  showing stronger activity in emerging markets compared to some advanced  markets.&amp;nbsp; Latest indicators suggest a more subtle recovery in the short  term for the U.S. as high unemployment rates hold back the recovery in  private demand.&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/p&gt; Detached home sales in June were down 26.8%, while listings of homes for sale were up slightly from last June. &lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;North Vancouver &lt;strong&gt;townhouse &lt;/strong&gt;sales declined by 50.7% from last June, though 2010 year-to-date sales are equal to those of 2009. The benchmark price of $599,277, while down from the high reached last month, was up 8.6% from last June. &lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;&lt;strong&gt;Condominiums&lt;/strong&gt;&amp;nbsp;reached an average benchmark price of $389,222, up 9.6% from last June. Sales declined 39.2% from one year ago, while year-to-date condo sales remain 8.8% higher than the same period last year.
